What a treat! A long, drawn out historical treat. You need to love history and have a bit of patience to get through this work, and thankfully I have both! I knew absolutely nothing about Alice Roosevelt prior to reading this book. What a shame! She was a person to have known! I loved learning about her and her family, friends and contemporaries. What a life! Thanks first to read for a galley in exchange for a honest review.

Took me a little longer to read this one. slow to start, but then picked up. Interesting story about a woman in history that I knew nothing about.
