This book has a variety of interesting projects, large and small. The apron with patchwork skirt and corn applique is especially cute. Photography is good, so you know what your project can look like. Instructions are clear and patterns are provided for tracing. Pillows and dolls are included for those who don't wish to tackle an entire quilt.

Besides including excellent plans for quilting projects both large and small, the author also gives a quick history of quilting in America. With nearly 200 over-sized pages, she presents a lot of information.
For each project the necessary fabric amounts, various colors and suggested prints are easy to read. Designs are clearly written and illustrated with color photos. Full-size originals for tracing your own sewing templates are provided for nearly every pattern.
This is a good general quilting resource for anyone who already has basic sewing knowledge.
