Joe Arpaio is no longer the sheriff in Maricopa county Arizona but has the history of being in charge of law enforcement for many years in Phoenix Arizona. He came from the DEA where he got his back round in his tough stance on criminals and law enforcement. He made a name for himself in Arizona as the toughest sheriff in the country and lived up to that although he made enemies among some of the locals. Numerous lawsuits were filed over the years against Joe and his hard nose tactics yet Joe seemed to get reelected for another term until recently when the liberals from the area started a petition to have him booted out of office. And it was successful. Joe Arpaio is more than 80 years old and deserves to be enjoying his golden years after so many years as sheriff of Maricopa county Arizona. Whether you liked him or not Joe Arpaio will be remembered for his many years of dedication in law enforcement in Phoenix Arizona.
