I really loved this book, the southern charm was very apparant in this book and I loved the names in this book she gave to her characters. Made me want to name my daughters after the characters whenever I have children. =) Wonderful storyline, looking forward to reading more by Penelope Stokes.

I loved this book. The story was captivating and the characters were marvelous. Over 150 years of history from before the civil war until today. Through slavery to freedom, including some very famous and historical figures. Generations of God fearing people. Life and death shown as it really is.

I couldn't put it down until the last page. I highly recommend reading it.
