Reading this book, it is extremely difficult to comprehend the lawlessness of soccer hooligans. Their utterly sociopathic conduct is scary and diffucult for us (Americans) to understand. There is an interesting discussion between the author and an Englishman who is surprised by the absolute lack of this type of activity in the U.S., even though the stadium crowds are much larger. This issue is beyond the scope of the book, but would be interesting to investigate.

The author does a very good job putting the reader in the action, as well as conveying how he felt the irresistable draw to become part of the thug activity.

Good look at thug life in Great Britain.
