So disappointing. Very slow pace and a romance that really didn't catch on. Slogged through more than half before things started picking up, but by then I'd lost interest and began skipping. New author for me but I wanted to try because the tale featured a Mexican heroine and mixed-race hero in Victorian England, which is a rarity in historical romance. 2 stars.
