The Ashanti myths of Anansi the spider are wise and entertaining. In this picture book Anansi and his sons are introduced with a tale about the origin of the moon. The geometric flavored, six color illustrations are very eye catching and amplify this tale well.

the pictures are interesting (see cover), but it's not a very interesting story. I read it to my Kindergarten class and they sort of liked it.

This is a story about how the moon got in the sky involving Anansi and his six sons.
