This is the true, amazing story of Norman Cousins, the man who beat the odds of his disease by undrestanding and mobilizing his own, natural healing resources -- laughter, courage and tenacity. A remarkable story that was over 40 weeks on the NYT bestseller list.

Written in 1979, most of the information can be used today. The patient is responsible for their own recovery of illness/disease. Some topics include: placebos, medication, laughter, holistic healing. For those who believe in the body/mind connection of health and healing, this is a must read.

Really loved this book. Easy read and entertaining as well as informative.
Not as good as I thought it would be.
