Just finished this and thought it was a very good fictionalized version of the Black Dahlia murder. Showed up many possibilities and theories of who could have killed Elizabeth Short. The ending explanation was intricate but plausible.

I haven't ever read any other novels by Mr. Collins and I really liked the character of Nate Heller. He's real-life so to speak.

I have a high regard for Max Collins' ability to weave an interesting detective story about famous events and people. However, I do get a bit upset with the amount of sex in his stories which seems to increase in every novel. This one is the worst so far. And did we really need to know about some of the sexual experiences his victim underwent? Sometimes I wonder if Max Collins has his own sexual problems.

With the amount of sex Collins has his hero Nate Heller getting, it seems to me Collins would make more money by writing a book titled "Nathan Heller's Diet for Greater Sexual Enhancement." I'm sure it would sell well.
