Ready for an adventure? This book will take you on one! It certainly did me. Angels & Demons was the first Dan Brown novel that I read and I was captivated from the first sentence to the last word. This is a riveting thriller that is action-packed with suspense, murder, and mayhem that threatens to erupt on the eve of the new pope's coronation. Plus, it is filled with factual information regarding historical landmarks and the Catholic Church, while intertwining science and religion. I highly recommend putting this book on your "must-read" list!
Really well-written. The historical facts are very accurate but it does not have to shake anyone's religious convictions.... it is just an excellent read.

This is a thrill a minute book but what I liked about it was the solid historical background, which emphasizes the repression of scientific discovery by the Church.
Great storytelling by Dan Brown. A must read if you were spellbound by the DaVinci Code. One of my all time favorites. Can't wait for more Dan Brown works in the future.
Another awesome book by Dan Brown. I thought this was very interesting. In this book I found a new author to read. I enjoy the pace at which the book progresses.
I did enjoy the book once I got past the very technical beginning. It was a little long on the science and antimatter information. I do understand why Dan Brown did this as it was important to the rest of the book. I highly recommend this book.
This was so good that I had to get it hardback so I could read it over and over again. This is not my usual genre but for Robert Langdon I will make an exception.
I read Angels & Demons looking for clarity from watching the movie. I am easily confused when there are many characters involved in a plot that takes place in a short amount of time. After I read the book, I realized the movie had a different ending so I was still a little confused. However, the book was a definite page turner, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout. I got lost in some of the scientific arguments, but understood most of the religious comments because of my past as a Catholic. The book was a great read, but certainly not as good as I was told it would be.
Easily the best book I've read in YEARS. It was a bit long, but it was definitely a page-turner. I stayed up till 3am just to finish it. Loved it so much that I'm planning to read all the books by this author.
I first got swept up in the Dan Brown craze when The DaVinci Code hit the big time. I was drawn into that story and didn't realize the gaping holes in Mr. Brown's writing until I read this book. The story is as interesting as The DaVinci Code, but there are far more disappointing liberties that he takes with this story. The final pages of this book left me so disenchanted with Dan Brown, I tried to swear off his books, but picked up The Lost Symbol, which surpassed even this one in literary malfeasance.
Excellent book! The movie was awful, so please don't let that deter you from reading this. If you liked the Da Vinci Code & The Lost Symbol (and somehow haven't read this one yet), then you should definitely order it.
Out of the 3 of his I've read this is by far the VERY best. You must NOT let this one pass you by! Very very very well written, keeps you on the edge of your seat and you must find out what happens!! This is my very favorite Brown book!!
