I enjoyed this book very much. It is the second book of a very talented author. It is about human condition and does a great job provoking thoughts about human nature. There is excellent character development including the relationships between mother and child, sisters and friends with moments of inspirations, grief, happiness and forgiveness.
This book is written with such vivid detail that I was hooked from page one. It's not a fast read, but very good. I was attached to the characters and felt like I knew them so well that I wondered was happened to them in the future. My heart wrenched for them in times of sorrow and grief and I was in awe during inspiring moments.
This is a great fantasy book that feels like it could take place in any small town. The details are wonderful and the use of time and mystery is engrossing.
I was a little disappointed with the ambiguous ending, but I like the fact that I could ponder what happened afterward. I heavily recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautifully written story.

This book is mystical, magical and beautiful. The author's writing is so descriptive I wanted to savor every word. The way Donohue puts words together is inspiring.
This is a story of love and redemption, exploring relationships between mother and daughter, sisters and friends with a little mysticism thrown in. Who are the angels in your life?
Dont rush through it. Bask in the beauty of it all.

I think that Keith Donohue's second book is wonderful! It shared the same magical flair as his first book, _The Stolen Child_. This book ended with me wanting more - more of this story, more of his beautiful words, anything. The way he strings words together is simply artful. I enjoyed the use of time and mystery in this novel. It was completely engrossing. I am already looking forward to his next book.
