Another very sweet story from Robyn Carr. The description is rather misleading, though. The residents of Virgin River do not take sides in any way.

The story line is entirely believable and even though Sean and Franci view past events differently, you can definitely see why both did what they did to get them to where they are now. Sean's awakening regarding his responsibilities and how he got where he is is entirely believable and very moving.

The other thing I liked about this book is something I like in all Robyn Carr's Virgin River books. That is the sub-plots about the residents of Virgin River. If there were a town like Virgin River, I would move there in a hot minute.

Another winner for Carr. I'm anxiously awaiting my copy of Moonlight Road (Aiden's story).

I loved this next book in the Virgin River series. I am especially glad this one kept us up more on what is going on with all the other characters we have come to love in this series. Thank you Robynn Carr for the escape I can make to Virgin River, especially at the end of a long hard work day.I hope the series continue for a long time.

I had a harder time with this one since I haven't read all the other in the series that came before this book. I have only read a few so Pastor Noah and Ellie's storyline seemed out of place to me. I am going to assume their story was in another book and this was a continuation.

I did enjoy the book though. I love how Carr's characters were so well-rounded. They had good and bad traits, nobody was perfect.

For example, the plotline for Sean and Franci wasn't a new one. Sean and Franci broke up four years later ago. When they accidentially met up Sean discovered he had a daughter. What made this so unique was that everything Sean and Franci did was justified and I understood how it came about. Their reactions were realistic and not overly melodramatic.

I also loved the side stories of Sean and Franci's mothers and what life / love would be like for older couples. It was nice to read about all the other residents of Virgin River.

I agree with the review that the backcover was very misleading. No one in the town took sides at all. Don't know who wrote the backcover but they didn't read the book before writing it.

It was a decent read although not my favortie. My only recommendation is that you read the other books in the series first. Don't start with this one if you have never read Carr before.

I am enjoying the Virgin River series in general. It is fun to get to know the characters and Angel's Peak was definitely good. I am home recovering from surgery and have read books 3 - 11 (others read already) and have a hard time putting them down. I have most of the rest and plan to keep reading.

If the other Virgin River Novels are as good as ANGEL'S PEAK, I'd like to read them, too. A good romance set within the love & support of family.

Sean Riordan is in Virgin River visiting his brother, Luke, and burning up excess leave. One night he visits a bar and runs into his former girlfriend. Four years ago, Franci Duncan and Sean had been Air Force Sweethearts until she said she wanted marriage and family. Sean wasn't ready for commitment or children, so she ended their relationship. Sean never got over Franci and wants to try again. Franci tries to avoid him. She doesn't know how inform him he has a 3 year old daughter named Rosie.

I really liked this story. I could understand why Franci walked away from Sean, knowing he would insist they get married when he found out she was pregnant. She wanted to be loved for herself, not as an obligation. Sean is stunned to find out he has a daughter. We see his acceptance of Rosie and the growth of their relationship. We also get to see him win back Franci.

As usual we see other subplots in this series. Sean's mother, Maureen Riordan, starts a relationship with George Davenport, a friend of Noah. We also see Dan Brady and Cheryl Creighton who I think are an interesting couple. I can't wait to read Aidan's story. I like his humor and think he may end up being my favorite Riordan brother. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

If you've never read a book by Robyn Carr then you are in for a treat. The Virgin River Series is my favorite. Angels Peak is #9 in the series, but even if you read them out of order (which I did) you will still enjoy these books. Honestly after reading one I was hooked. I've had to read them all. Virgin River is a close knit community where everyone helps each other. The men are all extraordinary hunks, most are ex-military and the women are survivors, each with their own story, yet they are all connected. A great read for any time of the year, but especially these cold winter nights, a love story to warm the heart.

I fell in love with the Virgin River series from day one. I was given book three and, after the first chapter, I had to get the first two books so I knew the characters as they appeared again and again. I really enjoy the storyline and the way that things connect. When Sean and Franci meet again and work out their problems, it feels real. Robyn Carr does this with all of her books and you remember all the family members and everyone who wanders in to Jack's or the Doc's or wherever. This is a great series to read and also a super author to look into. And, yes, you can read them out of order...I just like to get in "on the ground floor".

Book 10 in Robyn Carr's Virgin River series, Angel's Peak continues the saga. The series is one of my favorites, and every book in the series introduces the reader to compelling storylines, characters you'd love to meet, and intriguing writing. Carr is one of those authors whose books I read the day they are released.

You should read the series in order, however. Virgin River is on Netfix currently, but be aware that even though several of the characters are the same as the books, the plot lines are different. The books are much better.

Angel's Peak centers on Franci Duncan and Sean Riordan, a couple torn apart four years earlier, with a bitter break-up, and now given a second chance. But obstacles and secrets abound. No spoilers here....read and enjoy! 5 stars for all books in the VR series.

I think I enjoyed this book more than any of the others in the VR series, mainly for the humor. Particular the humor surrounding Rose, "My wide Iwish Rose," indeed! A great read! I'm kind of sad to be done with it, probably because I don't yet have the latest one in the series, "Moonlight Road". I can't wait to get it off PBS!
