This is a great book for toddlers who are just learning about different farm animals and the sounds they make. I started reading this book to my son when he was about 8 months old, and by the time he was a year, he could practically read it to me! He can point out each animal and then tell you what sound the animal makes. The illustrations are beautiful, as are most of the Golden Book illustrations, and I love the "sturdy book" version of this, because it is tough enough to stand up to toddler abuse and still comfortable for an adult to hold in her hands.
