A classic who-dun-it with Richard Jury and all the gang a really good read. It isn't even necessary to have read the others each Jury book is great on its own.

Grimes books move quickly from deadly crime committed to a considerable cast of characters who all have a possible connection to the victim or the location of the crime. I find it interesting that in addition to the adult characters, I am discovering that
the author also introduces a clever young person or child into the mix. Having read
three Grimes books in a row, I'm beginning to see several interesting and pleasing
patterns in her subject matter which helps to make the reader more involved with
her stories and her characters as they develop from book to book. Good, light mysteries with nice character development, nevertheless.

I am totally hooked on Richard Jury and am starting to read my way to the most current book. There is a good mystery, good characters, and some humor in each story. It is light/fast reading, but sometimes it's good to get a break from the more complicated stories. Reading Martha Grimes puts me in mind of the style of Agatha Christie. In fact, the promo touts her to be the next Christie or Sayers. Recommend.
I just discovered Martha Grimes recently, and I love her Richard Jury series.
One of her better ones. Creepy, and also VERY funny - I kept laughing out loud while reading it on the subway!
Part of the Richard Jury series. Martha Grimes is a wonderful writer and it is fun to follow her characters from series to series.
