Author and blogger Melanie Shankle has written another "memoir", this time about marriage. Like the first book, this one is filled with anecdotes from the author's life and marriage, some of which are rather amusing. I enjoyed this collection of stories as I did the author's previous book.

I was not sure if I would like this book since I am not real big on memoirs, but I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed it. I loved the authors sense of humor. I am sure that I got quite a few looks from others while reading it because there were so many parts that made me laugh out loud. It was a good read.

Melanie Shankle is just funny. She writes about the ups and downs and reality of marriage from leaving dirty clothes on the floor to forgiveness, grace, new love and old married love, all with a big dose of humor. Totally relatable especially with all the pop culture references from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

I ordered this book by accident. I am not religious by any means and would not have ordered it if I had noticed the name of the publisher or knew anything about her blog. Having said that, I really liked it. The writing style is snarky and fun without being mean. She makes some interesting points about married life without being preachy.
