Great book for kids on the Holocaust. Shows strength and determination to find beauty in the most awful places and situations. A great read.

Bernard Gotfryd recalls his Jewish experience in the Holocaust right before WWII breaks out and after in several short stories. Each story is simply but elegantly told and we can see a glimpse of hope and humanity in each. I liked this book and was sorry to see it end.
