Katie Kazoo has a trying day at school. She wishes that she could be anyone but herself and it happens. She thinks about the life of the classroom hamster and becomes it! Through a series of very "trying" times she finds out about the fears and weaknesses of the class bully. When she goes back into her body she winds up being friends with the bully and life is better. Plus, she helps the bully, George, to adapt to school life and to be accepted by the classroom group. The lesson learned is "be careful what you wish for." The Katie Kazoo books are very good for beginning chapter readers and for intermediate grades. This is one in the "Katie Kazoo Switcheroo" series. 2002, Grosset and Dunlap
