This is a Scholastic book given to me by an elementary librarian recently. She knew that I had a high-functioning autistic grandson, age seven, and thought I may enjoy it. Although this book is primarily written for grades 6-8, this book was definitely worth the time for a fast read. I see numerous parallels to my grandsons autistic world. The story was from an interesting perspective, the autistic character, 12 year old Jason's point of view. The author must surely have done her homework in regard to getting her information on autism, as the story seems like it could be the work of nonfiction. The relationship Jason has with his family is heart-warming as well, from comical to struggling. A thought provoking story (Walk in my shoes first before you judge me!), that will win you over.

Great book for kids that don't realize the troubles of others.
