I'm a Big fan of John Cleese, especially his work on Monty Python and Fawlty Towers. I was disappointed that he never really covered any of those years in this book. This book pretty much stops right when they form Monty Python. Though he does talk about some of their antics in the last chapter. I did enjoy reading about his early years. I found it more interesting learning about the British way of life in the 1940's - 1960. If I would have known that he wasn't going to talk about Python and Fawlty Towers I probably would have passed this up.
I think he comes off better on TV,rfom what I've read.
