KM H. reviewed Apologetics for a New Generation: A Biblical and Culturally Relevant Approach to Talking About God (ConversantLife.comŽ) on
This review would be only 1 star or 1.5 stars if Sean McDowell was actually the author, which he is NOT. So that fact gives this book a lot more weight and overall good writing for Christians. Sean McDowell has a track record as a weak author and does not really address issues except with ineptness and vagueness. Sean McDowell has been riding the coat tails of his family's name for quite some time now.
This book, however, is written by OTHER AUTHORS and Sean McDowell simply puts his name on the cover to promote it. Sad really. He does contribute, but only 2 chapters.
BUT THIS BOOK is pretty decent in its attack on the issues it discusses. It does address relevant topics in an approachable way to younger people without being vague or what have you.
This generation needs and deserves good writing, direct writing, writing without fluff. This work here meets that need.
Suitable for college ages, high school ages and mature middle school aged individuals.
