I love this book for the fact it reminds me of all of the great times that I had with my grandma and cousins in the kitchen. It was a trip down memory lane. The stories and pictures are interesting but what really made me pick up the book was the apron patterns. I hope to get some made before Christmas for my daughter and her cousins. Maybe we can make some 4 generation memories yet. I hope they have a fondness for the apron just like my generation did.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's not only full of lore, but gives some lovely patterns as well.

A fun book to be savored and picked up and glanced through again and again. Part history, part instruction, it is chockful of sweet essays about aprons, sewing, cooking, moms, and grandmothers. Not only are there simple sewing instructions throughout, there is an envelope in the back holding an easy pattern for an apron. A keeper for sure.

It's a great book if you are into history, women's issues, aprons, sewing, fabric, and all that stuff. I LOVED IT. It inspired me to design aprons to make for all my grown children and grandchildren. The designs are there, now all I have to do is sit down and make the pattern, get the fabric, and sew them up;) It's a good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, almost as much as I enjoy making and collecting aprons.
