A tender story of a florist who comes back from a devastating loss through the beauty and healing qualities of the flowers she sells. The cover is gorgeous. Initially, I thought this story was veering into Mary Sue territory because of how perfect a florist she is, but the heroine's imperfections came through. There's an adorable child, cute dog and quirky cast of characters. It's a story that will uplift you without being overly saccharine. It's not heavy reading but neither is it chick lit. I found it a perfect antidote for the dark political times we live in.
I really enjoyed this book. A great, warm story. Clean. No blood. Just all-around a solid read!!
The Art of Arranging Flowers by Lynne Branard is the story of a small town and Ruby Jewels who is the florist to this small town. She has a way with flowers that allows her to better the lives of those around her; yet, her own emotions and needs go unaddressed. Will she find a way to open herself up to life? That is the question.
