The back cover says "Hysterical...A really great book." - John Searles, TODAY show. I guess I must be missing something because I could hardly get through the first fifty pages of this book. I didn't like the main character and her mother was even more annoying. I have too many good books waiting to be read - this one just wasn't worth the effort.

On the page for this book on PBS, there is one good review & one bad review; I feel like I need to break the tie! I 'm glad I didn't heed the negative review & skip this book, cuz I thought it was a good book. Not intense, not alot of characters, no deep story line, just a good story about a family & its quirks. I thought this book had some great one or two lines of insight, such as "when you don't know what you're searching for, its hard to know you've found it." I read it in a day or two and now I'm going to try another book by her. Enjoy!

This book reminded me of the movie "Bridget Jones's Diary." Simple, and an easy read. Relatable

Laugh out loud funny in some parts. A pretty good story but didn't really go anywhere. Anticlimactic at the end as well, it just sort of ends. She has a lot of issues and goes to a therapist and I found those parts strange and pointless.

Mildly amusing - nothing great to say about this at all. Main character spent way too much time whining about her life rather than living it!

An easy read, finished it in a day and a half. Quite funny in some places. This was the first book I've read by the author and I'd most likely pick up her other book Girls' Poker Night if its posted.
