This is along the lines of "The Secret." I enjoyed the book; however, I don't know if it can be this simple. I do believe that positive thinking can influence our well-being.

Spirituality meets practicality in Ask and It Is Given. There are specific steps listed designed to lift the reader's thoughts from their starting point to the next level, enabling reader to feel better immediately. Reading this book changed the way I view many things in life, and it has certainly enabled me to be more grateful and positive. Nothing bad can come of that.

I've seen a number of videos of Esther's presentations, and I still wanted this book in my library so I can refer to it whenever I need a boost.

People commonly misdefine the concept of vibration and how like attracts like as positive thinking. This goes way beyond positive thinking. You can think positive thoughts and pray all you want, but if your underlying feeling is that of despair, your positive thoughts will get you nowhere. I've been there and done that.

This book explains the process of raising your vibration by paying attention to how you feel. A scale of emotions will give you a very vivid picture of where you are and where you want to be. A number of practical techniques are explained to help you reach the next highest level of feeling until you can sustain happiness and love, which are feelings of all possibilities.

Enjoy!

What a great book. I was skeptical initially but was encouraged by the foreword by Wayne Dyer to just try the exercises it described and see what happened in my life. Well, the things that I've asked for have been given to me. My work is improving. I'm bringing in the kind of clients I want. My relationships are being healed. It really is amazing. It's not magic. It's the scientific law of attraction in action!

This book is not for everyone, but it came to me at the perfect time and has been a catalyst for great expansion in my life.

I am re-reading it now, and enjoying the way that I am seeing it through new eyes. In Wayne Dyer's foreward he makes a wonderful suggestion as he urges you to simply carry the book with you if you aren't yet ready to read and apply this great wisdom, and allow the energy to permeate your being.

If you are ready for it, and aligned with it, this book can bring great ease and joy to your life.

I believe in the power of positive thought. It's when it is hardest to be positive that it is most critical in our lives. I'll be reading this book several times to ensure I've gained everything I want to know from it.

I read this book kicking and screaming. I have cancer for the 3rd time and my mom bought me this book as part of a set including The Law of Attraction and The Astonishing Power of Emotions, all written by Esther and Jerry Hicks. I did not want to read these books because I did not believe that Esther was really channeling Abraham (a group of spirits from the other side). But I finally gave in and started with The Law of Attraction and finished all three. Putting aside my doubt, I just focused on the actual Law of putting positive thoughts and energy out into the Universe and seeing it come back to you. After 5 months of practicing these Laws in a daily meditation, my life has completely changed. I know, you too may be skeptical. But if you just remain open minded and take what you want and leave the rest, the messages in these books are very empowering and CAN make a major difference in changing your thought patterns from negative to positive. And focusing on the positive can definitely make your life more worth living. I highly recommend all 3 books.
