I have read most of Hyde's books, but put this one off due to the military theme and the fact that I have a son in the Air Force. I felt as though she handled the situation gently and seemed to have an understanding of the military mindset. With that said, this is the reason why I like Hyde's stories - she has well fleshed characters, true to their roles. This book deals with families and how different family members perceive the same situations differently, but that one person's choices can have a profound effect on the entire family. As usual for this author, there are many topics for discussion
