This is another in the series of mysteries in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Magdalena Yoder is a hoot, very amusing and light mystery.

Magdalena Yoder is a Mennonite innkeeper who with the rest of the congregation of the church get ready for the annual chili supper cook-off. Just when the devout diners sit down to eat, beloved reverend Schrock falls facedown dead, into a pot of the savory chili. Magdalena is requested by the widow to investigate the death. This book has a half dozen zesty chili recipes.

When the rev falls over dead in his chili, it's up to Mags to find out if this was murder, an accident or suicide. There were a couple of surprises in this one. I laugh out loud at the antics of Mags & Freni. This is one of my favorite series.

Magdalena Yoder the owner of the inn solves the murder of her minister in this book. It's funny and ends in a way that you would not imagine. Has great recipes for chili as well. A very good book.
