I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment of Laura Bradford's Amish Mysteries. What really lifted this story above other cozy mysteries is the complex stories surrounding the two main men in this book. Jakob Fisher, who grew up in an Amish family, later made the decision to become a police officer, a decision which ostracizes him from his family. Benjamin Miller, an Amish widow, is attracted to Claire Weatherly, but a romance between an Amish man and an Englisch woman is also forbidden. So, in addition to a well-done mystery, there is a lot of interesting subtests in this story. Looking forward to the next one in the series!
