I just finished this book, and I can't recall another that made me feel like I had wrote it myself. As the mother of a teenage daughter, it was so easy to relate to and FEEL everything that the author wrote about. My daughter is now 19 years old, and while she has never quite been as hard to manage as the authors daughter, she has certainly put me up against the ropes of life. Augusta, Gone is completely amazing. A must read for any mother of a teenage daughter, troubled or not. This book will make you feel like you are, for once, not alone in your feelings about your children; good or bad. Incredibly relatable, intense, wonderful book!!

The book was very interesting. It gave a good first person account of the struggles a loving, concerned mother was having in trying to help her mis-guided teen. I found it a very compelling read and a quick one. It tied up a little too prettily at the end, but overall a very good book.

This is a gut-wrenching yet quite moving book about a problematic relationship between a rambunctious teen and her overwrought mother. The dialogue rings true throughout this book and you can't help but get caught up in the wave of evens as rapidly unfold.
The author, Dudman, has perfectly captured the tension-filled high-wire act that is raising a teen. Especially on your own. Augusta feels boxed in, angry, resentful, and she reacts in a terrifying way. With two daughters of my own, I found myself saying thank you out loud for the safety of my children.
This is a pretty short book but it's likely to stay in your head for a while. At times its emotional pitch is nearly too much, but Dudman wraps up her book in fine fashion, giving the emotionally exhausted reader a reward for their endeavors.

This book really made me think about myself as a teen and everything I put my mother through. After reading this I called my mother to apologize for being such a nightmare. It was really different reading something from a mother's point of view. Mostly really sad. I liked this book however it was not one of my favorite's. I think it's a great read though and do recommended it to people who put there mother's through a lot. You don't really think about it until you read another's story.

A very inspirational tale of a mother and her out of control daughter- AWESOME
Hated this book, couldn't even finish it.
I really felt I could relate to this mother. Very honest and from the heart story.
Where do i start. To say the least this was a heart wrenching read. After reading this i feel the need to talk to my mother who is now gone as i so want to say how sorry i am for my actions that hurt her. This read is just absolutely eye opening. Drugs were not around much when i grew up, but none the less i was a handful. This is a true story of a wounded daughter and frantic mother going thru a horrible time. This true read is spoken with such honesty, i found myself crying at the hurt a mother goes thru trying to protect her child, i am sure we mothers have all been there for one reason or another, trying to hang on to our child when they choose not to, or can not hear us. This was a very powerful read.
What a wonderful book, from the second I picked up this book can not put it down! Raw true story from a mothers point of view on how extremely hard it is to raise her teenage daughter.
I would for sure recommend this book and am hoping she will write again!!
