Once again, another wonderful book in a wonderful series. This time there is a bit of a twist in the end, in terms of who solves what. I rather liked it, and the "justice" for the "villain" was rather heart warming.
I can only give these books 5 stars. So pleasant to read, and yet so interesting. I can't ever put an Aunt Dimity book down. This one was no exception.

I always enjoy an "Aunt Dimity " book. This one has Lori helping out with "King Wilfred's Faire." It has knights, jugglers, wenches, jousting and other faire activities. Of course, there is a murder and Lori just has to find out who "did it".
I love the idea of her 2 boys going to the faire and coming back with phrases such as, " They were drunk as Lords". "sloshed", "Pie eyed'". Poor Lori has her hands full keeping her boys from learning too much about lords and wenches while also solving a murder. The town of Finch will never be the same.
This book had a good plot and some very interesting characters filling in at the faire.
As usual a good read from Nancy Atherton.

I keep being attracted to books in this series by the subject matter (in this case, ren faires) but the protagonist is just too annoying for words. I swear, this will be the last one I read!

The Aunt Dimity series are a lot of fun, but too much of a good thing is, well, too much. Having not read the last several in the series, I picked this one up. The "bad guy" was not readily identifiable, so that was a plus. Lori's personality, however, does not seem to have changed much with all her adventures - still naive, "boy crazy", overly impetuous, and just a little too much - maybe I have just outgrown her...either way, Lori is no longer a captivating character for me.

Love the Aunt Dimity Series! This one is a bit different than the others as it is set in a Renaissance Fair, but the charm shines thru.

Attempted murder at a Renaissance Festival.....loved the details about these popular celebrations both here and in England.
