In this 8th outing. Lori and Bill are summoned to Hailesham - Derek Harris' family home for a working weekend / vacation. Lori's knows that this will not be the relaxing vacation she had hoped for when upon their arrival a large topiary is set ablaze and poison pen letters start to appear. More is found out about Derek's family and Nell is still as irrepressible as ever. There was something very familiar about this book. Like I had read part of it before. Very reminiscent of Aunt Dimity Beats the Devil.

What do a burning topiary, a elderly gentleman with a will that may cause some of the heirs extreme problems, a stuffed pink bunny and an old blue journal with blank pages have in common? A brand new mystery for Lori, Bill and Aunt Dimity to solve! This is a very good book in this great series, would recommend it highly.

A great fast read. A wonderful addition to the series. Be careful, you may learn something mildly shocking about the heroine if you haven't read all the other books in the series yet!

Once again Lori is conversing with the ghostly Aunt Dimity and eyeing good-looking gentlemen other than her husband. Here Aunt Dimity and Lori take on a poison pen/arsonist opponent who just about outwits them.

Another fun read featuring Aunt Dimity, the helpful ghost! Set in an estate in England, things get threatening with poison pen letters, accidents and colorful characters once more.
