Ben Franklin, one of my top five founding fathers. He is a smart guy, if I could be more like him I would definitely be more successful.

Great Read! Was assigned this book in my Honors class, and loved it! It started out slow, but became quite interesting quickly. Must read for those who want to know where our country came from.

A unique insight into the life of a great American. He wrote it for his son's guidance ( it did not work).

Ben Franklin had his hand in just about everything, so his autobiography ends up focusing on a great many things that most people don't even realize he was involved in. The things that he is truly famous for are completely unmentioned, or very briefly mentioned. This book is definitely worth the read, he wrote it for his son, and it is interesting to know what he considered to be important for his legacy.

Franklin's fascinating autobiography, written partly to teach his son how to choose goals and improve himself, is relevant today. Over 200 years after this man became the only person to sign all 4 major documents of the founding of America, we can be instructed and inspired by his concept of what it means to become a man in America.

In this Autobiography Franklin focuses on material sucess, moral regeneration and renewal, and the hope of social progress. He mentions just a few of his gifts to society, his contribution to electricity, paved streets, the firestation and the library. It was a book written for his son. It does not however give much information about Franklin personally as I would have hoped but it does give information not widely known.
