I love a book where I can identify with the lead female...and I could definitely identify with having to leave a young child in the care of someone else while you have to go perform a decidedly unwanted task. Unfortunately, I can't say any of mine involved a cruise ship...nor did it mean letting myself take a vacation from my own business that I got to work from my own home. But that is what makes the best fiction. Being able to relate and everything else something you want to experience yourself. and MAN!!! To have the lead male respond the way that he ultimately does....YOWZA. I mean, hello, yes...it's a romance...so you know ultimately it'll all be good. But I got put this guy a step ahead of the rest. If you aren't able to take your own personal cruise at this point in time (or if you need a good read on the one you're going to go on), pick this book up and take it a long for a most enjoyable read.

OK, but I ended up not really liking this one. I thought Falco sounded like a big jerk. For example: "His plan to seduce Jenna and then lose her was backfiring [...] Time to take her to bed. Before they got the results of the DNA test." He thought she was a liar but he didn't mind sleeping with her - and then discarding her. When his assistant tells him she thinks Jenna is being straight with him - "He shifted uncomfortably because he didn't want her to be right. It was much easier on him to think of Jenna as a liar and a manipulator. Those kind of women he know how to deal with". Um.. Ok so what is Nick's view of most women? Liars? After this I was somewhat disappointed at how easily Jenna jumped back into bed with Nick. His player persona was off-putting, and I had a hard time buying the transformation into a family guy - it seemed superficially done. The sex to romance ratio was more on sex, little on romance. At one point they were doing something in what I think was in the same room as their sleeping babies! Ack! At least his trying to get back into her good graces was alright, but after what he put her through I think Nick should have had to work a little harder than he did.

Baby Bonanza is a beautifully written story by Maureen Child that tells the story of a business tycoon and how he falls for a mystery woman who he didnt know but she knew who he was and knew her relationship with him could cost her greatly she just never realize how much.
Jenna Baker knew that getting involved with Nick Falco would end her career but to have the few days that she did with him it was more than enough for her to willingly give up her career on his cruise line to be in his bed and arms for the small amount of time until he realized who she was. Nick Falco had grown accustomed to women showing up at his room to give him pleasure so when he sees this female by herself he finds himself attracted to her and decides to be the one to make the moves on her however, he did not realize that she was more than just a visitor until it is too late.
Jenna has decided that since Nick will not return her emails that she is going to personally deliver the news that he is a father to her twins on one of her cruises but when she finds herself in the belly of the boat. Nick gets wind of it she finds herself staying in his suite where things get heated up to the point that Nick and Jenna find their selves back at point one.
Maureen Child does it again with a novel that makes any red blood female want to visualize what Maureen does when she writes her novels. I defiantly give her two thumbs up on this one.

I really didn't expect to like this book. I mostly read mystery novels and biographies, so when I downloaded this free book, I figured I'd read a few pages and decide it wasn't for me...but I was wrong. "Baby Bonanza" is a quick read with a fast-paced (often racy) plot. Though the subject of proving paternity is a serious one (and treated as such by the author), the characters were light-hearted and even, at times, humorous.
