Bettie Gay Bryson, pregnant and abandoned by her no-good, unresponsible and immature boyfriend, ends up in a jail cell and offered a deal by D.A. investigator Greg Tyrrell. This is your typical romance where the heroine struggles to choose between the rotten scoundrel to whom she has ties that seem unbreakable, and the new and improved hero to whom she's attracted (and who also struggles with discovering he returns those feelings.) Nothing groundbreaking here, but enjoyable for fans of the genre.

Bettie Gay Bryson is pregnant, penniless and alone -- and thanks to her cowardly ex-boyfriend, she's also in trouble with the law. Hard-driving investigator Greg Tyrrell proposes a deal: no prosecution and all her expenses paid if she'll act as bait in his plan to snare the ruthless head of an Arizona baby-selling ring. B.G. agrees. What choice does she have? Even if it means working closely with the too-attractive Greg Tyrrell...

Late one night, Bettie Gay Bryson finds herself sitting in a police station in Tucson, Arizona. Her cowardly ex-boyfriend held up a store and took off, leaving her there to face the law. Leaving her with only the clothes on her back - and the baby growing inside her.
Greg Tyrrell, hard driving investigator for the county attorney, offers her a deal. No prosecution, plus her living expenses paid - if she'll act as his bait in his plan to snare the ruthless head of a baby-selling ring.
This decision marks the beginning of her new life, especially when she starts to fall in love with Greg - the man who leads BG and her baby into danger...and out of it.
