This was another good book by Catherine Anderson. It is the start of the Kendrick/Coulter series. Lot's of emotion and drama with a heartbroken man who lost his family and a woman on the run from her family.

the story of rafe kendrick and maggie. this is a continuation of the kendrick/coulter family series. catherine anderson creates characters that you'd like to meet in real life, and this story is no exception.

Abused young woman with a baby/drifter who turns out to be a millionaire rancher romance. He marries her to save her from her abusive stepfather and to save himself from his descent into alcoholism at the loss of his family.
This is Book #1 in the Kendrick/Coulter series. Book#2-'Phantom Waltz' Book#3-'Sweet Nothings' Book#4-'Blue Skies' Book#5-'Bright Eyes' Book#6-'My Sunshine'. I enjoyed all of them. Heartwarming, and some good storylines for each book. Great series.

This was a good read. It kept your attention but the also really focused on the romantic part of the story the most. Lots of action especially in the end.
Love Catherine Anderson's books.
excellent book this was the book that made me fall in love with Cathrine Anderson's books
A wonderful story.
A very good read.
A very good read.
This book had a good story line and kept my interest. The sex scenes were too explicit and drawn out. So far my favorite of this series.
This may be an older series but it is very well written. Great story!
The first and possibly the best of this series. Anderson has a way with characters that have somehow been 'damaged' by life. The people she writes about are so easy to love and the stories are hard to put down. I was compelled to read every book in the Kendrick/Coulter series and I was not disappointed by any of them.
it was a great book i loved it.
A wonderful surprise! :)
Good reading
Desperate and determined, Maggie Stanley grabs her small baby and runs into the snowy Idaho night. In her loneliest, blackest hour, she unexpectedly finds a warmth and comfort she has never known in the tender compassion of a handsome, down-and-out stranger. In Rafe Kendrick, Maggie recognizes a sould wounded like her own--though she knows she must never trust any man ever again.
Rafe is more than he seems--an enigmatic man of secrets who could give Maggie the moon had he not vowed to spend his life alone. But sometimes love's flames can transform a cold world into paradise--and a man who's lost nearly everything, a woman who's forgotten how to dream, and the helpless child who needs them both can become that most wondrous creation, a family.

Great story!! Will love it!
Another great story from Susan Anderson, lots of intense emotion between main characters. Set in contemporary American northwest, tells the story of loss and rebirth. great read!
I loved this book!
Good read...I had read others in this series but not this one. It is a bit harder to believe, but the characters are real to life. This author is one of my favorites.
Another great addition to the Catherine Anderson booklist. As always, you are drawn in by Maggie and Rafe.
I got this book because I'd read another one by this author that I really liked. If you like romance novels then you'll like this one. No surprises just a simple love story.
Maggie and her baby are on the run. Now a seemingly homeless man has offered her a place of sanctuary.
This is my favorite Catherine Anderson book. I couldn't put it down.

Another great read from Catherine Anderson. I couldn't put it down. It is the first book of the Kendrick Brothers story.
A story of Hope, Love, and New Beginnings
A book about a woman running from a bad situation and a man hoping for a second chance at love. A contemporary romance.
First in a great series!
ANOTHER GREAT CATHERINE ANDERSON BOOK. I LOVE THE WAY SHE WRITES ABOUT DIFFERENT FAMILY MEMBERS IN SEPARATE BOOKS, BUT TIES THEM ALL TOGETHER IN SEVERAL. YOU CAN READ ABOUT THE SAME PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT BOOKS. IT'S LIKE HAVING A BOOK THAT GOES ON AND ON. GREAT!
GREAT READ
CATHERINE ANDERSON BOOKS ARE TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome romance story. Her very best book I've read yet.
A sweet story of redemption and trust.
I love Catherine Anderson. This is a really good book. The woman Rafe tries to rescue, ends up rescuing him too, just in a different way. I enjoyed enough to read it more than once and I'd definitely recommend it.

With her life and that of her baby threatened, Maggie grabs her baby and what she can carry, and runs. She jumps on an open box car at the train station, where she meets Rafe Kendrick. Rafe has been bumming around the country since the death of his wife and children a year past, and has become an alcoholic. Each of them needs the other to survive.
