Cynical, jaded, practical-minded attorney Jake Chastaine is still grieving his late wife two years after her death when he discovers that due to a mistake at a fertility center where she received treatment, a woman he's never met has had his baby. Jake is determined to play a role in his child's life. He's chagrined to discover, however, that the mother of his child is as appealing as she is impractical. A gorgeous redhead, Annie is a free spirit who raises llamas, reads tea leaves and believes her dead grandfather talks to her through highway billboards. Worst of all, she makes his body temperature soar in a most illogical manner.
When his law partner and former father-in-law threatens to ruin Annie in a misguided attempt to help him acquire custody of the child, Jake decides that the best way to handle the situation is to enter into a short-term marriage of convenience. They both get far more than they bargained for, and learn a life-changing lesson about the power of love.

I loved this book! It was one of those books that you never wanted it to end.
I loved this book! Very funny. I'll be looking for more books by this author.
A Perfect 10!!!!.it had all the ingredients for that perfect read! Initial antagonism, gradual attraction, a baby to bind the two radicals and eventual true love!
Loved it, iw was a great book
Jake Chastaine knew how things were supposed to be and tht didn't include fertility clinic mix-ups or fathering a child with a woman he'd never met.
A book to make you laugh and cry. A terrific author. I look forward to many more.
Interesting story of a man who has a fertility clinich sample stolen and the women who inadvertently ended up with the specimen (and the baby. Very good and there are some laughs in it to-mainly farm humor :-)
This is a great book. I have one on my keeper shelf.
This was a terrific book. I can't wait to read more by this author.
A fertility clinic mix-up leads to a romance.
Loved it. Not just romance but a lot of chuckles.
This was my first time ever reading anything from this author and boy was I pleased!!! This was a great book. Will definitely look for more.
Cute, story. Sperm bank mix up has a widower meet up with an unconventional woman who had accidentilly received his sample, and is looking to make himself whole again. I loved this book.
The hunk who appeared on Annie Hollister's doorstep was a looker. And from the look in his deep brown eyes, he'd come to Lucky, Oklahoma, for more that a tea-leaf reading. The tall attorney's aura was clouded, and Annie could see that he'd been suffering for some time. But all that was going to change, because a new-no, two new people were going to come into his life. And Annie wondered who the lucky pair was going to be.
Jake Chastaine knew how things were supposed to be, and that didn't include fertility clinic mix-ups or having fathered a child with a woman he'd never met. And looking at the vivid redhead who was the mother, Jake realized he's missed out on something spectacular. But the woman believed her grandfather talked to her through readside billboards! Still, he asked himself, was that any stranger than his sudden compulsion to woo her? Everyone knew how things were supposed to be-first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage. Maybe this time, things were going to happen a little differently.
