by the Author of Sarah, Plain and Tall. This is a story about an abandoned baby. 12 year old Larkin finds a baby in a basket in her driveway. She has a note with her that states "This is Sophie, She is almost a year old and she is good.....I will come back for her one day. I love her." They care for her knowing that one day her mother will come back.
