I'm so happy that the story line is back on Blossom Street. I really didn't care for Susannah's Garden, but this book finds her opening a flower shop right next door to Lydia's Yarn store. Alix returns and so do many other characters from the previous books. Really enjoyed it and look forward to the series continuing, as long as it continues on Blossom Street.

I am such a huge fan of this author. This story touches so many pieces of so many peoples lives it's impossible not to find someone or some situation to relate to. Great read, I couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters came to life, and the story line kept me interested. I didn't feel that the stories were already completed in previous books, like I sometimes feel with movie sequels. As long as she keeps writing about life on Blossom Street, I'll keep reading about it.

This is the 3rd book of a series. Details of those stories are brought up in this, so you don't need to read them to understand this story. (Although doing it out of order may ruin the first story - since you know how things end up)

I liked the first one much better than this - this seemed to repeat WAY too much about the relationship of people and history. Also, on the audio - when chapter change to a new narrator - the reader really didn't distinguish - so you had to listen to details (Ie "my sister", "my Baby", "my fiance") for a sentence or too - to figure out which characters "turn" it was.)

Overall, wasn't terrible, but I also didn't find myself too invested in the characters or storyline.

Back on Blossom Street is a sweet and charming addition to the Blossom Street series. The book focuses equally on new and old characters, much like the previous books do. It centers around the members of Lydia's knitting class, who are making prayer shawls.

I love Blossom Street! Each character is so real, with flaws and delightful personalities. I'm always excited to see what the friends are up to and how they relate to each other in each story. This novel did not disappoint. If you've read any other Blossom Street tales, you'll really enjoy this one.

This book is awesome just like the previous ones in the series. Keeps you wondering what will happen with each character. I do have to say there was a lot of crying with this one though and happiness at the end. I want to read more of Debbie's books. This was the first series of hers I read.

If there is a place in Heaven for writers who create characters so real that you feel as if you know them, then Debbie Macomber has her spot there already reserved. Obviously written from the heart of someone who really cares! The yarn shop seems to be "the place to be" for an assortment of people whose lives entwine and become better for knowing each other. As I get to know these characters better the writer makes me feel as if I'm not reading fiction, but a group of friendly autobiographies. READ THIS BOOK! You won't regret it! And whoever does the cover art on these books is brilliant also!

Another delightful read from Macomber centering around the knit shop on Blossom Street. By now the characters are all good friends. The two story lines in this novel focus on Alix and the wedding that has taken on a life of its own, and a new character with an intriguing storyline. It's not deep or even particularly thought-provoking, it's more like having a cup of tea with a friend. Warm and comforting, and things always work out for the best in the end.

Blossom Street where you'll find everything you're looking for! From yarn and flowers to friendship?

There's a new shop on Seattle's Blossom Street a flower store called Susannah's Garden, right next door to A Good Yarn. Susannah Nelson, the owner, has just hired an assistant named Colette Blake, a young widow who's obviously hiding a secret or two.

When Susannah and Colette both join Lydia Goetz's new knitting class, they discover that Lydia and her sister, Margaret, have worries of their own. Margaret's daughter, Julia, is the victim of a random carjacking, and the entire family is thrown into emotional chaos.

Then there's Alix Townsend, whose wedding is only months away. She's not sure she can go through with it, though. A reception at the country club, with hundreds of guests she's never met it's just not Alix. But, like everyone else in Lydia's knitting class, she knows there's a solution to every problem? and that another woman can usually help you find it!.

For a person who doesnt usually like Macombers books, I actually enjoy this series. I cant explain it either, since Macomber usually has whiney weak woman as her characters -- this series seems to show women of strength. Those that take charge and move on in their lives instead of waiting for men to guide them.

Susannahs Garden, the florist located next to a Good Yarn is where Colette Blake has gone to get over the death of her husband and the affair that she had had with her boss.

Once again the women of the story, Colette, Susannah, and Alix have come together in Lydias knitting class to share their fears and hopes and traumas; much of which involves Colettes pregnancy and Alixs impending marriage to Jordan. Plus a trauma that hits Margarets family and rocks them to the core.

This series of books is a good break from reality. I recommend this series over her mushy and redundant Cedar Cove series.

I love reading these, great story lines and I like the way she breaks up the people in the story. The only thing is the times she goes back to the other books and kinda retells instead of just going on with the story. It doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, I say out loud "Ok, I get it, just move on!"

I really liked A Good Yarn so I was looking forward to reading Back on Bloosm Street. Unfortunatrly I thought the last thirty pages wrapped up too neatly and too quickly. I am normally described as overly optimistic but the ending(s) was too much even for me. Enjoyed getting there enough that I will probably give another one in the series a shot, but if it too disappoints will stop there.

In the third book of this series, Lydia Goetz has started a new knitting class in which each member will make a prayer shawl. While the class is going on, each one is living through a difficult time in her life. Alix is engaged to be married but her best friend and her prospective mother-in-law are planning the wedding without any regard for the wishes of Alix and her fiance, Jordan. Colette is till mourning the death of her husband and is confused about her feelings for her former boss, who seems to be involved in illegal business transactions. Lydia and her sister Margaret are concerned about their mother's health and also about Margaret's daughter, Julia, who is the victim of a violent crime. The women knit together, share their problems, and form close friendships. The characters in this book are not quite as compelling as some of the previous ones, but it is still a good read.

Warning: Spoilers included.

Much better than the second book. The characters here were fresh and just different enough to make it interesting. My biggest problem with the second book was that it was too much like the first.

I enjoyed revisiting Lydia and Alix in this book. I was slightly disappointed in Alix's story simply because she seemed like a whole different character. I liked that she was so nonjudgmental but the instant forgiveness just seem a little far-fetched. So I couldn't help rolling my eyes when her mother-in-law to be confronts her about being good enough for Jordan. But it seems like this book was all about forgiveness. It was also nice to see that Jordan wasn't so perfect all the time.

I have to say I was right there with Margaret wanting to hurt the guy who got away with hurting her daughter. What I couldn't understand was why all the other characters couldn't see where she was coming from and spouted for her to let go and again with the theme of forgiveness. It would have been nice if someone was on her side even if it was just to let her know they wanted to do the same thing but know they can't because of x amount of reasons.

Colette's story was interesting and different. I liked it. Yes, it was predictable but I didn't mind.

If you have never read Macomber I recommend you read this books in order. She has a lot of repeated information so you don't necessary have to but it gives you a better appreciation for reoccurring characters. Also she is very Christian and might bother some people. But she isn't preachy about it. She just makes it part of these people's lives. A very quick read and light romance with some tears thrown in.
