If you loved The Mitford books you'll love the Grace Chapel Hill Series. This is Book #1. Pastor Daniel Howard passes away and leaves his home to his three daughters, Louise, Alice and Jane. They decide to turn it into a B&B and they meet opposition from some of the towns people, including their father's sister Ethel. The sisters move in together and start renovations on their family home only to have things happen which test their faith and starts them on a path of self doubt. As always things turn out right for the sisters. Please read this book and savor the small town feel and the slow pace that this book has to offer.
Just love the antics of the Howard Sisters. They just learned they jointly inherited their childhood home after the passing of their father, Daniel Howard, the adored minister of Grace Chapel. The sisters all have different ideas as to what to do with the house. They come up with a brillant idea, they turn it into a unique bed and breakfast.

The dilemma begins. They all have different ideas as to what to do with the home of their childhood memories. They decide to turn it into a very unique bed and breakfast Very entertaining. Once you visit the charming village of Acorn Hill, Pennsylvania, you'll never want to leave. Townsfolk relax on their porch swings or gather to discuss the day's events at the Coffee Shop over homemade pie. It's the kind of town where friendship and faith flow together like a wide river on a fine spring day.
However, this sleepy town is in for quite a surprise. After Daniel Howard, the adored minister of Grace Chapel, passes away, his 3 spirited daughters come home to remember their father. That's when they discover that each has inherited a share of his run-down Victorian house. Each sister has a different dream for its future and the squabbling begins..but from it emerges a brilliant solution. Grace Chapel Inn--a unique bed and breakfast--is born, and a new life begins for them all.
This is the first in the Guidepoasts' "Tales from Grace Chapel Inn" and once you meet these sisters and "visit" their town, you'll want to come back again and again as you discover all the other books in the series! Heartwarming and inspiring!
