I found Harlan Coben just last year and have read every single book he has on the market. I love his writing and the way he builds his characters. It is an absolute pleasure to read his books in order and see their progression.
originally I thought the sports aspect would be a turn-off for me, but it has so little to do with the story that it didn't bother me at all.
If you're looking for a quick, good, fun read, this is the book for you.

I JUST FOUND THIS AUTHOR- ENJOYABLE- IF YOU LIKE SPENCER YOU MAY LIKE MYRON BOLITAR- COBEN'S DETECTIVE/SPORTSREP.
I like Harlan Coben and this was a typical book for him.
Awesome series. Read them all.
Any of the Myron Bolitar series are my favorite. Must read.
Average Myron Bolitar tale set at the US Open. Good dialogue, fine story, plenty of fun at golfers' expense.

This is the second Myron Bolitar book I've read. I enjoyed it but it was a little heavy on the sports (golf in this one). A professional golf family (both mother and father are pros) and the sixteen year old son is also an excellent golfer. The son gets kidnapped at the start of the US Open and Myron is hired to find him. Of course, Myron gets in over his head and all hell breaks loose.
Harlan Coben has a great use of cliches which are laugh out loud funny. Myron is comically sarcastic and Win has serious pyschopatic undertones. There are several twists and surprises. A great mystery that you think you have figured out and then whammo another twist. Keeps you guessing right up to the last page.
They even mention my old high school towards the end. How cool is that?

This was a great story, book 4 in the Myron series and you learn a little more back story on Win and his family.
Interesting twists and that really make you go what the heck!?
Seems everyone in this story was guilty to a degree and them all together really made a mess of things!

All of his Myron Bolitar books are great.
The fourth book in the series about Myron Bolitar. This time, the sport is golf. Very entertaining and Myron and Win are always so funny.
I hate letting go of my beloved early Harlan Coben's but if someone out there will enjoy them just as much....Myron Bolitar is quite a character.
Another great book in the Myron Bolitar series! Read it in two days.
Great book, fast read. I love this character.
Another good book in the series. I like the style of Harlan Coben's writing and always enjoy his books.
Sports agent Myron Bolitar unravels the mystery of the golf star's missing son.
love this author, love this series!
Another great Myron Bolitar mystery from Coben. Being a sports fan, the sports themes - first football, then tennis and basketball, now golf - really make the Bolitar books stand out for me. Coben's style is wickedly satyrical and just plain fun to read. My biggest concern is that Coben will run out of sports for Myron to get involved in. But heck, I'd read about a mystery at a ping-pong tournament if Coben wrote it.
The boy was born and raise don the Main Line. But he bvanished on Philadelphia's mean streets. last seen in a dowtown cheater's hotel. for sports agent Myron Bolitar, his client, golf fuperstar Linda coldren, comes first, and that m,eans unraveling the m,ystery of her son's kidnapping. Skeletons coming out of the closet. and golf becomes a deadly game.
Another good book by Harlan Coben. His books keep your interest.
Great! Very entertaining!
When golf superstar Linda Coldren approaches sports agent Myron Bolitar, she has a deal for him. Her son, Chad, has been kidnapped and will be killed if she goes to the police. If Myron helps find him, she and her golf-pro husband will sign with Myron's agency. As Myron searches for the missing boy, he finds lots of suspects, all of whom seem to have a secret they will kill to keep.
The fourth Myron Bolitar mystery has so many plot twists and turns. I had no idea who was behind the kidnapping and was very surprised by the secrets that were uncovered. Along with the mystery, we also get more information about Win's past. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

A little short and could have used a little more suspense.
Easy reading, fun recommend
This is #4 of the Myron Bolitar series. Myron is in Pennsylvania for the US Open Golf Tournament.
Golf + revenge + sex + murder = another thrilling story. I loved the book.

If you like wisecracking, eccentric, detectives with a sports background, you'll love Myron Bolitar.
A bit more complicated than the others but did give good insight into some of the characters. Seemed to wrap up very quickly at the end.
Another winner by Harlen Coben
Myron looks for the missing son of a golf superstar, and in the process uncovers skeleton's in the client's and in Win's closet. Trademark twists and turns (maybe a little to twisty) with some nice clarification of the elusive Win's background.
Another great Coben.
Book Review
Kidnappers have snatched the teenage son of super-star golfer Linda Coldren and her husband, Jack, an aging pro, at the height of the U.S. Open. To help get the boy back, sports agent Myron Bolitar goes charging after clues and suspects from the Main Line mansions to a downtown cheaters' motel--and back in time to a U.S. Open twenty-three years ago, when Jack Coldren should have won, but didn't. Suddenly Myron finds him self surrounded by blue bloods, criminals, and liars. And as one family's darkest secrets explode into murder, Myron finds out just how rough this game can get.
My Review
This was a great golf mystery with quirky characters and a plot with lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed learning more about Win and his background. This is also story of violence and betrayal; particularly the pain that family members can inflict upon one another. A must read for anyone who likes mysteries with depth and has a sense of humor. I look forward to reading the next Myron Bolitar mystery very shortly.
