There's things you can learn from here about astronomy. However, I would say that the author is only in the 2nd tier of debunkers. His writing is hard to follow, his attempts to make the subject interesting only make it worse (scientists who are trying to communicate with the general public should stop trying to be funny), and the so-called misconceptions are rarely those that anyone I know have (maybe with the exception of toilets and the Coriolis Effect), like standing an egg on its end on the first day of spring, or the earth being closer to the sun in summer than winter, or the favorite whipping boys, astrology, UFOs and sci-fi movies. Maybe he has a lot of students around Sonoma State who believe those things, but I don't know many in my circle who do.
