Bad Girls Don't Die - Bad Girls Don't Die, Bk 1
Author: Katie Alender
Alexis thought she led a typically dysfunctional high school existence. Dysfunctional like her parents' marriage; her doll-crazy twelve-year-old sister, Kasey; and even her own anti-social, anti-cheerleader attitude. — When a family fight results in some tearful sisterly bonding, Alexis realizes that her life is creeping from dysfunction into...  more »

This is a phenomenal book! The synopsis doesn't say much about the story but it's about Alexis and her little sister Kasey. Kasey loves and collects all kinds of dolls. One day strange things start happening around the house and Alexis realizes that Kasey has changed. The house has a past and it wants to come back! Alender definitely put the creepy aspects of this story to life. I myself am terrified of dolls so I was looking forward to getting a little edgy after reading it, which totally happened.

You can't help but love these characters. Alexis is a smart ass which I totally dig and Kasey is so shy and cute that you want everything to be okay. I loved this unique story and I'm awaiting the second one to come in so I can see what else unfolds!

This book gets 5 stars from me! It thrilled me and kept me on my toes. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. If you're looking for a nice creepy tale, this is a good place to start!

Alexis' sister, Kasey, is doll-crazy and seems to be acting stranger than ever. Her blue eyes change to green sometimes, she uses old-fashioned language and she loses track of chunks of time, claiming to know nothing about her strange behavior. In their old house, doors open and close by themselves; water boils on the unlit stove; and an unplugged air conditioner turns the house cold enough to see their breath in. Alexis knows she's the only person who can stop Kasey -- but what if that green-eyed girl isn't even Kasey anymore? I enjoyed this book and thought it was creepy but not really scary. It is a debut for the author and I see that she has written 3 more books since 2009. I will have to check them out as I think she is a pretty good writer. If you think books about dolls are creepy, then I think you will enjoy this book too! Check it out!

There are some great young adult books and this is definitely one of them! I loved the storyline and there was plenty of suspense. I haven't read many paranormal/ ghost type books lately, but read them all the time when I was a kid. Now I remember why I loved them so much!! Can't wait to read the sequel...

This is a great story. It drags you in and keeps you going. I stayed up too late several nights, not wanting to put it down.
