Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
In the middle of the chaos is Fang, a ferocious werewolf who lives to stalk his prey and rejoice in the kill. The quintessential lone wolf, he walks alone, asking for nothing -- and expecting to get it. — It has been said that behind him is the trail of a million broken hearts, from women who tried to tame him and failed. I took me a long time to get around to reading Bad Moon Rising because of the many people that gave mediocre to bad reviews and I didn't want to be disappointed...WELL I wasn't! I thought it was a good book with tons of action, sexy tension and tragic circumstances. I will say there was not a lot in the way of actual sex but how this book flowed I was ok with that. Maybe it was my lower expectations that helped the book but I really haven't been on the band wagon that Kenyon books are not up to par. Yes some of them are short with overly large print but the stories are usually inventive in continuing the fantastic world Kenyon has created. If you are a Dark-Hunter fan I think you will enjoy this book!

Kenyon does it again. I just can't get enough of those were-hunters! Since this story kind of backs up to start Fang's story, it was a little different to follow. But if you have read all of her dark-hunters books as i have, then you will catch on quickly. And has everyone else missed Simi too? I was happy to get updates on most of my favorite characters, while learning what it takes to trully tame a wild wolf. Can't wait for the next one!

I won't go into a description of the book because it has already been done. This book had the potential to be great but I thought it came out just okay. I did not have a problem with the back story that tied in events from previous books like some reviewers. I actually liked that part. I even liked details of how Fang and Aimee's friendship developed. I could have done without the whole "Hell" realm and possession. It seems like the last few books have gone in that direction. Also, this book did not have the steam and passion of the earlier Dark-Hunter books. With all of the buildup of the relationship between Aimee and Fang, the actual one-on-one romance seemed more of an after-thought.

I love love love this series and have absolutely no idea why it's been 2-1/2 years since I've read the last book in this series. As a matter of fact, I will continue by reading [book:No Mercy|7200351] in April.

As usual there is a whole lot going on. Fang and Vane's father, Markus the pack leader, hates them both and is doing all he can to remove them as his heirs. The Arcadian wolves led by Eli Blakemore hate the Katagaria wolves and is trying to destroy them. The bearweres that run Sanctuary are also under attack from Eli who has a blood feud with them. Poor Fang has been tortured and possessed by demons and he just might be in love with a bear. A cross-species mating would be a disaster to Aimee's family. Aimee is the only female that can carry on their line and a mating with a wolf will make that impossible. Enter in Thorn, a demon who appears to be on the side of right but maybe not. Acheron and Simi and a few others join the fun and all hell breaks loose at Sanctuary.

I absolutely love Fang, a tortured bad boy hero, my favorite kind. And bear or not, Aimee is just perfect for him.

The only thing I didn't like was out of nowhere both Vane and Fury are mated. I know the details will be told in their stories but it was just weird. There were a couple of things that happened like that...just happened with no explanation.

I loved this book. The author made me care and cheer for Fang and Aimee. The only thing I did not enjoy was the attitude of some of the minor characters. That though could not detract from the happiness I felt for Fang and Aimee.

I enjoyed this book just like I do all the dark-hunter novels. However, I did feel that the book had a few tediously slow moments and beat a couple dead horses so it gets 3.5 stars.

I had not read a Dark Hunter book in a while. I think my last one was Acheron. I loved the premise but it was a bit confusing with all the different demons, animals, hunters and so forth but she does do a good job of explaining things. Fang was an uncomplicated character and Aimee was a good fit. Sometimes I think the characters in the Dark hunter books can get a little too complicated but Fang was easy to follow and had good intentions. I really liked this story and it makes me want to start reading her books more often. My favorite book is the first one Fantasy Lover and Acheron.
