Three stories by three different authors, but all have the same basic storyline: Girl once loved guy, but fate steps in to separate them. Now girl is in trouble, guy comes to her rescue, they have hot sex & end up together (happily ever after). The tone and writng style of all three stories are identical (it really feels like the same person wrote them all). The sex scenes are ok; graphic but vanilla, nothing kinky. I find it amusing that these women fall hopelessly in love after a short time of good sex with a super-macho, hunky guy (of course!) Why aren't there any of these guys around when I need one? Reality check, anyone?

The Shannon McKenna "Anytime, Anywhere" was ok but not her best short story by any means. The hero was so determined to stay away from the heroine, Robin, that he was a little cruel and it got old quickly. Sexy but not at all romantic.

Surprisingly for me, "After the Lovin" by E.C. Sheedy was the best. I've never read anything by this author before but this short story has a lot of promise. The hero made a lot of negative assumptions about Tommi based on her physical appearance. Instead of rolling over, she defends herself and calls him on his prejudices. The progression of their relationship is convincing and sweet.

The Cate Noble short story "Deal with the Devil" was awful. Confusing, way too many characters and far too much back story that isn't thoroughly explained. Apparently, the main couple used to date before the heroine married the hero's brother for some reason that wasn't fully explained and now she wants to go back to Brother #1 for some reason and everyone is rich and there's a spiteful ex-girlfriend wandering around.
