A 'moving" story of a teen during WWII in Berlin. Liddy, a teenager returns to her family's bakery in Berlin to be comforted by Keppler, a Nazi officer. Marek, a young man with a secret past , works closeby Liddy in the bakery, Marek. Marek questions whether his loyalty lies with the Nazis or with Liddy.
Tensions rise as Keppler begins a relationship with Liddy's younger brother, Willy. Does the Nazi officer wish to recruit Willy or is he spying on Liddy's family?
A great fictional story of a family, the acquaintance with a Nazi official, personal experiences of family members during World War II.
