A fine side-branch to the excellent Liaden Universe series. Young Jethri Gobelyn, child of a small, Terran-family trading spaceship, becomes acquainted with Liaden procedures and customs and finds that some things are much the same - or at least appear to be. I look forward to reading the recent second book, Trade Secret.
Liaden Universe novel - excellent read!
This is an interesting book about space traveling traders. While part of a series it may be read without the others in the series, except there is a sequel titled "Trade Secret."
This novel reminded me of the "star trader" series by Andre Norton, which I really enjoyed as a teenager.
