I absolutely loved it. The sister who lived in such a different culture, came to Hawaii to visit her brother and was introduced to all the conveniences that we take for granted. I found it so funny when she explored all the kitchen appliances to see how they all worked. The love that bloomed between her & her brothers best friend was precious and so filled with the love of our Lord and Savior. I recommended it to my daughter and son-in-law. They haven't been able to conceive a baby.

Lily Walsh has never seen anything like America, or even imagined it. From supermarkets and swimsuits to the way women actually look men in the eye, she's baffled by this strange new land. Raised in a remote Asian village by her disciplinarian father, 24-year-old Lily is thrilled to visit her brother Jeff in Hawaii-until Jeff is called away on urgent business.
Left in the care of Jeff's best friend, Gabe Kapaia, and his family, Lily discovers the paradise of Oahu's north side at the Kapaia Resort. But she walks a fine line between two worlds. Can she embrace her new experiences without breaking her promise not to shame her missionary father? When Lily finds herself falling for Gabe, her heart is torn. Will her upbringing force her to make the difficult choice between true love and family honor?

This book is one of my favorite Lori Wick books. I have many of her books. This one and Sophia's Heart are my all time favorite stories. They are both great reads.
A different kind of perspective on our world.
A wonderfuly tender story depicting a love that overcomes cultural differences.
A little too much affection portrayed.
Great Book
Another wonderful story from Lori Wick. Keep the tissues handy for this one!
This book is pretty long, but it is a great read. I've read it several times, and I walys enjoy it. It is the story of a young lady who comes from being a missionaries daughter in Kashien to live for 3 months in Hawaii.
My Mother said she definitely enjoyed this book. She said it was hard for her to put down and it was an easy read. "A very tender love story of how God changes the hearts of those who draw close to Him"
