I was on board with this financial crime thriller 100% until about halfway through, when a couple of characters turned nasty in a way that wasn't consistent with how they'd been portrayed up until then. I finished the book dutifully, not with pleasure. The settings and the financial systems info in the book seem authentic, but the characters are seriously off.
