Very disappointing! As someone who adores the Jane Austen story "Pride and Prejudice" I felt this book did not stay true to Ms. Austen's story or characters. This I was willing to overlook until the subplot revolving around the characters and witchcraft and a spell that are in no way believable and distract from the story.

I was very disappointed in this book. I enjoy Jan Austen's work, but am by no means an expert or devotee. However, it really bothered me that this version of Lizzie Bennett was such a wet noodle. She even turned her ankle twice! The witchcraft subplot was silly, and the use of the phrase "her hot lava" in a supposedly erotic scene actually made me laugh out loud. I wish I had skipped this book.
