Bark George
Author: Jules Feiffer
What is wrong with poor George? Every time his mother tries to teach him to bark, he either mews or moos or quacks! Eventually, the vet gets to the bottom of the trouble. Or does he? A rollicking good tale with a humorous surprise ending. The delightful illustrations tell the story as well as the simple phrases.

Cute story that really had my daughter laughing. She's reading at a basic level and we enjoyed a "shared" reading of this one. She would read the pages on the right while I read the left.

Bark! George is a book about a dog who can't find his bark. His mother tries to get George to bark, but he makes other animals' sounds. Finally, she takes him to the vet to see what is wrong with him. It is a 1.3 AR book.
