From 2nd through 5th grade I would check this book out from the bookmobile - library bus - that would visit our school every month. I loved looking at the pictures and reading the descriptions of the sci-fi creatures. This book was singlehandedly responsible for getting me into horror by introducing me to The Thing and H.P Lovecraft's Old Ones.

Great read for those of us who dwelt in sci-fi for the better part of the 80's and 90's, reading any second-hand books you could find! Brings to light all the creatures once held inside my head!
